Lighting Storm Causes Fire

When a strike of lightning hit this home it created a fire near the top of the chimney. This fire caused damage to the bonus room and den areas as well as smoke damage in the bonus room, den, entry way, dining room, and kitchen. Once the fire was put out by the fire department our SERVPRO crew of Henry and Spalding Counties came in and scoped the loss. We removed drywall and insulation and made sure to apply antimicrobial treatment to the areas that were affected by the water used to put out the fire. We also placed six dehumidifiers around the affected areas to help stabilize the environment. Our crew worked with this homeowner to help with the initial damages so that he can move forward with getting repairs done to his house!
