Do you know what are the fire safety rules and regulations for your building in Henry County?

If you are not sure of the safety requirements, call your local government office and inquire about their fire safety handbook. If they don’t have a handbook, ask if a fire marshal can inspect your business and let you know of any issues you might have overlooked.

Make sure fire extinguishers are in working order, and that employees are properly trained on how to use them. A refresher training shall be provided at least once a year. Invest in an automatic sprinkler system. Install smoke and carbon monoxide detectors on every floor.

Have an evacuation plan in case of an emergency, and let your employees know of what and where they need to go. Make sure all the exit signs and emergency lights are inspected and are in working order and that all the exit doors/access will not be blocked.
